What a fun location for a little one’s/maternity session! Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson was the perfect place for this family. There were plenty of places to explore and all the bright colors made it all the more interesting. I’m so glad the mom suggested it! Because the location was already so rich with things to keep a toddler busy, I scaled down on the props. I brought along a vintage suitcase, a quilt, and a few cars from my dads vintage train set. Although I live in North Judson, and had passed by the station numerous times, I had not actually stopped to see how cool the place was. I think this handsome toddler had a blast exploring!

A glowing mother from one last fall session… more to come!

I had the privilege of photographing the Baldwin’s Maternity Session and really enjoyed looking forward to their Newborn Session. With 10 fingers and 10 toes Maddox was the perfect newborn. There’s definitely no dull moment in photographing tiny little ones. Some newborns are sleepy and some are wide-awake. Maddox was wiggly and full of energy for his session. He even provided some tender moments with mommy, which I adore capturing. I love seeing a mother in action. I think it will make for some sweet memories to look back on. See their Maternity Session here.

This is part two of the Baldwin’s Maternity Session. Their first session location was a beach in Harbert, Michigan and this woodsy location was on the Avant Gardens property in Indiana. We started early in the morning to try and beat the heat. Nicole and Rusty were such troopers. I love the feel of this location and I think it made a lovely backdrop for the Baldwin’s session, don’t you? There’s just something whimsical about field grass and wildflowers. There’s also something so special about the way an expecting mother just seems to glow. Keep an eye out for their newborn session coming soon!

The Beach Session::

I met this lovely couple at church and the timing was perfect. I had just started to think about getting into photography when they asked me if I would be interested in doing their maternity and newborn photography. To be honest… I’ve struggled with the idea of calling myself a photographer because my education is in graphic design. However I gave it my all and I think the results are beautiful! I’m so happy to have been able to capture such a wonderful time in your life! Congratulations on starting a family and thanks for affirming my talents! { Watch for the Woodsy Session coming soon… }
