We had the most beautiful light for this session… So dreamy… <3
Many of you know we have some exciting changes coming this year, and one of those changes includes some Videography. Take a look at this Engagement Film Nathan just finished last night (see after the images). He also wrote and recorded the music for the film.
Nathan and I had so much fun with this couple. I met Jessica at Main Street Floral in North Judson, and knew right off that we were kindred spirits. What a blessing to be able to capture such a sweet couple! Here are a few favorite images from the session…

It’s nearing 2013 and I thought it would be appropriate to take a look back at 2012. I’m so blessed to have such great clients, and its always wonderful to meet and work with so many different families. The good Lord blessed me with another great year and I’m eagerly anticipating all that the new year brings.
I love when fall first begins and the trees are tinged with hints of color. This was just the scene of a recent engagement session at Potato Creek State Park. Heather and Mike met us near the beach for a quick game of scrabble before we headed out to do some exploring in the park. I was anxious to visit those glorious fields full of goldenrod. I made a quick bouquet the day before of some things around the house. Rosemary and lemon basil were the perfect addition to a plentiful grouping of goldenrod. Heather brought some brilliant sunflowers that just perfected the arrangment. I’m a fan of flowers. Besides your wedding day, when else do you get to hold an armful of flowers?! Heather and Mike complement one another perfectly. They’re both gentle, easy going people, and time sped by so quickly that we extended our two hour session while chasing that wonderful sunset glow. No one seemed to mind… And once again I’ve fallen in love with photographing engaged couples. Here are some of my favorites!
I love photographing engaged couples. This year has brought me many new clients. Each one has been so special and unique. Sometimes clients will remind me of people I know. Lindsey is a nurse and has that sweet caring nature about her. Evan reminds me of my brothers. My brothers are tough men, and Evan was much the same. But it was great how candid he became when he needed to be. Now that’s love! I’m always so excited to see how a couple’s story seems to unfold through their images. Upon hearing Lindsey’s plans for their wedding, I knew that I needed to incorporate some things that would fit her style. To set the picnic scene, I made burlap and lace bunting, mini apple pies, and brought along sparkling cider to fill my grandmother’s antique glasses. We started in a light dappled walnut grove, and then headed to some other softly glowing spots I’d found in San Pierre. The light fell beautifully and set a romantic tone. I’m always thrilled to capture these kinds of moments between a couple. It’s like being able to do the artwork for a great love story. And I have to thank Lindsey & Evan for being such troopers wading through all the tall grass and uncharted territory! Blessings to you two!
