I’m starting a new weekly series called, Wednesday Walks, of which I’ll share imagery of my walks and adventures. Bits of nature not appreciated, glorious skylines, strange weather, etc. Today, still January and a high of 50 degrees, it certainly feels like peculiar weather. These images are from the other night when a heavy fog rolled in, another oddity for this month. It did provide some excitement on a rather dreary looking day.

  1. I’m working on my 2013 list for commercial child fashion models, so if you’re interested in being considered for the list, please email me a head shot of your child. Looking for ages 2-12.
  2. You can follow me on instagram, I’m thewhimsytree.
  3. I’m no longer selling with etsy. You can find the new online store here at storenvy. We’ll be working on updating the entire website in the next few months so the link on the homepage will at some point be changing.

Oh snow! It seems rare these days to wake up to a snowfall, so this morning I was ecstatic to find a couple inches. I really keep longing for a good snowfall, you know, feet & feet like we use to get. Here’s what my winter walk looked like.

Today I was preparing to ship a cd of images out and had to capture another aspect of why I love my job. I think of it kind of like Christmas, and the experience of unwrapping a gift. You’ve invested in custom portraiture, and I believe every aspect of your experience should be delightful, and be a reflection of The Whimsy Tree! I love details!

If you haven’t check out Villa Nova Pizzeria in New Buffalo, add it to your list of places to eat while in Harbor Country. Here’s a project we just finished up last month. We photographed their catering menu, and designed the menu as well. Keep up with them on Facebook for specials! And don’t forget to try the cannoli’s!

This was one cold afternoon, but little Adeline was a trooper. My uncle’s property was the perfect location for this spunky little commercial shoot with the snowflake dress from The Measure. Miss Adeline was playing a bit bashful at first but she did warm up and give into that twirling temptation. I love a good twirling dress myself!
